With the new PD KineBAT 99 and 200, Kinefinity has just released its third-generation V-mount battery system. These 14.8V cells offer a larger capacity, dual D-Tap, PD USB-C ports, and 60W fast charging. Pricing starts at $279. Earlier this year, Kinefinity launched the MAVO Edge 6K (you can read our review here), a full-frame beast offering a 6K 3:2 Open Gate mode, uncompressed RAW and ProRes recording capabilities, and the same body design as its 8K sibling. The company is primarily known for its camera systems. However, they also offer a full ecosystem of accessories to go with them, from monitors to power solutions. The latter include the existing KineBAT 75 and 150 V-mount bricks, whose battery life is now being extended with the addition of two higher-capacity models, the PD KineBAT 99 and 200. Although Kinefinity has designed these batteries to complement their MAVO Edge cameras, they can be used with virtually any camera system accepting traditional V-mount bricks.
